Part 2: Install SAP Widgets Foundation in 4 easy steps
After discussing about the system requirements for installing SAP Widget Foundation, now it’s time to see how to install it in 4 easy steps. This post contributes to SAP Widget Foundation series which started after putting an enquiry post - which SAP Widgets are you using?
I have read somewhere that SAP provides a simple URL installation for all its empolyees and other people in its own network. However, for people like you and I, standalone installation is the only way out. Installation spans through 4 easy steps that takes no more than 10 minutes.
Step 1: Once you have donwloaded SAP Widgets files from SDN/Marketplace, run SAPWidgetFoundation.jar file that invokes the installation window.
Step 2: This step is applicable only if installation window fails to open . Go to Run and type CMD for starting the command prompt. Key in following command that calls installation prompt explicitly.
java -jar <path_to_SAPWidgetFoundation.jar>
Step 3: Once you click next on the instllation window and selected the license check box, proceed either to use the dafault folder and location on the installation directory or specify an installation folder and select installation destination foler using a browse functionality
Step 4: Click on Finish and you’re done
