I hope you have had a look at our previous posts – SAPUI5, HTML5, and future of SAP Front-end & How to integrate UI Development toolkit for HTML5 (SAPUI5) with NWDS 7.3? Now obvious next step is to understand how to use this toolkit to create new UI library and controls? Obviously now you are looking for resources that can guide you to develop your first application with SAPUI5 toolkit. To use SAPUI5 toolkit for control developments you’d need an Ecliple plug-in for SAPUI5. This plug-in can be downloaded from tools-updatesite that user documentation claims to be delivered with tools-updatesite. What to do now?
Answer is wait! Yes, plug-in for SAPUI5 HTML is not available as a part of beta release and SAP still needs a few more week before the plug-in is released to public use. Michael Falk who is an SAP Product Strategist has tweeted following -

Though I can understand the technical dependencies and concerns, I am disappointed with unavailability of eclipse plug-in for SAPUI5. No use of racing your horses because the road is blocked here. At least for a while. We will have to wait until SAP announce the release of SAPUI5 plugin so that we can start the development. If you have any further information about this eclipse plugin, do post your comment below.
For those of you who do not have NWDS or cannot download SAPUI5 HTML beta toolkit, here is a link where you can read user documentation right away without downloading or configuring anything.
