SAP Portal tip of the day: Transport Packages

I hope you’ve gone through earlier tip of the day on GUIDs in KM transports. Today’s tip is on EPA transports. To be specific about transport mode.

There are three transport modes available for EPA transport and those are data, text only, data_acl & acl only. Today’s tip is about what transport mode is used for transporting language content.

Here’s today’s tip:

• Text mode is used to transport languages across the portals. You don’t need to select any other transport mode just for transporting language content.
• Data only mode will transport all objects + language content – permission. You cannot transport permissions using this mode
• Acl only mode is used to transport only permission
• ACL_Data mode is used to transport all objects, permissions & also language contents
