SAP Portal tip of the day: Unlocking KM objects

We all know how to unlock portal PCD objects from System Administration –> Monitoring. However, it does not display KM objects to unlock. To unlock a KM object, most used approach is select a document and click on content menu at the top and use unlock option. But if you have hundreds of KM objects to be unlocked then would you keep on unlocking every single object? I am sure, NO. So this is what today’s tip talks about. Unlocking multiple KM objects/resources simultaneously.

Here’s the tip:

We’ve a standard report named “Resource Locks“, which finds all resources in KM that are locked in a specified KM directory and unlocks them. You can also find KM objects/resources whose locks are older than certain number of days.

Use this navigation path to find the Resource Locks report to unlock multiple KM documents.

Content Administration –> KM Content –> Toolbox –> Reports –> Resource Locks
